Fewer Weeks Without a Kitchen

Most of the frustration in a kitchen remodel comes from the gap between tear-out and a working sink. We shrink that gap by confirming cabinet and appliance orders and their delivery dates before demolition, then running the trades in a tight sequence.

Layout is the second big choice. Leaving the sink, range and refrigerator close to where they sit now is cheaper than relocating them, because moving water, drain and gas lines adds labor. Every kitchen we finish carries a one-year warranty.

What Goes Into the Job

  • Cabinets and storage

Replacement or refaced cabinetry, leveled and anchored to the wall framing, with pantry space, drawers and an island sized to the way you actually cook.

  • Countertops and backsplash

Counters templated once the cabinets are in, then backsplash tile set to finish cleanly at outlets, windows and the ends of each run.

  • Lighting and power

Under-cabinet and ceiling lighting, plus the circuits and outlets a modern kitchen needs for its appliances and a working island.

  • Opened walls and new layouts

A wall taken out between the kitchen and living area, or an island added, with structural support and relocated lines planned before demolition.

Kitchen Work in Order

  1. Selections and orders

Cabinets, appliances, sink and fixtures are picked and ordered up front. Appliance specs get checked against the cabinet plan before anything is built.

  2. Tear-out and rough-in

Once deliveries are confirmed, the old kitchen comes out, and any moved water lines, drains, circuits and vents go in while the walls are open.

  3. Install and finish

Cabinet installation comes first, then templating and countertops, then backsplash, lighting and appliances. We walk the room with you and handle touch-ups before closing out.

Kitchen Questions

How many weeks without a working kitchen?

Several weeks is common, longer if walls or plumbing move. Counters are fabricated after templating, which builds in a short wait. Many families rig up a temporary kitchen with a microwave and a coffee maker elsewhere in the house.

Can we keep our existing appliances?

Usually, yes. We just need their exact dimensions early so the new cabinets are built around them. If you plan to replace them later, say so, and we will size the openings for the next ones too.
